Hope Tech, leading bicycle manufacturer delves into the tech world with new app.

Users of the new Smart Freehub* and Hope smartHub app can easily tune & customise their hub. The new integration removes the need to swap freehub bodies and gives the user the opportunity to bring back hub sounds from the past.

Now, riders select the hub model of their choice, and the freehub type at the press of a button meaning no more time spent switching freehub bodies and more time riding. The pièce de resistance the Hub sound selector. Scroll through the back catalogue of Hope Hub sounds and choose your favourite. Enjoy the buzz of a Bulb or remind yourselves of the days of the Pro 2 evo.

“We’ve seen the revival of vinyl and analogue film, so why not use tech to bring back the Hope sounds of old. Customers tell us all the time how they miss the noise of Pro 2 or the buzz of an older hub, so we thought why not give them the option.”

 Is Pinkbike's April's Fool joke having all the articles on the front page with pink products? I'm just seeing a sea of pink on the Pinkbike front page. Lol.

 Side effect of reminding me how great bike colors used to be.

There were a couple years where I had the "Miami Vice" Nomad and my wife had the "Aggressive Salmon" 2016 Bronson that's back on the front page right now. I expect we'll never have a better-looking duo of bikes.

 Looks like the front page switched back to normal, but the human programming propropaganda damage has been done. I am triggered and experiencing PTSD anytime seeing pink now. But I do think Pinkbike everytime I see pink, so perhaps that was the goal. Lol.

 You know what's not going to change the editorial direction of Pinkbike? Reading a comment (or not) like yours saying they won't pay for something they never had any intention of paying for.

 @Fill-Freakin: Actually, I would pay for Pinkbike. I just wouldn't pay for Outside. They have made the PB content worse and the user experience worse in general. If there were an option to get the pre-Outside PB back, I'd pay for that. Maybe we could keep Dario as well.

 Outside laid most of the funny staff who used to work for Pinkbike over the years. Creating new content is expensive. AI makes it easy (and free!) to repost a bunch of articles that had title images that meet certain criteria.

 So Outside can harvest our data for free and sell it to the cycling industry over lords who will no doubt use it to manipulate us into buying the perfect pink bike in the future so they can take over the world. No thanks.

 I need to know if this can fully replace my bluetooth speaker?

@henryquinney and I love to share our impeccable taste in music with our fellow riders and woodland creatures, and it'd be great if we could accomplish that selfless calling without having to haul around heavy bluetooth tune-bangers.
