The intent of that statement was simply comparing the prize money for a win against the other elite disciplines and establishing that it offers the lowest amount. The sentence before your quote compares the total to the other two elite World Cup disciplines of XCO and Downhill where it is significantly lower than the €3,750 for a win.

Pinkbike's DH Fantasy League Staff Picks - Volume 1
The current pricing is all based on last year’s results. As Amaury was injured and scored no points he is priced lower than Charlie who scored points and is the World Champ. Once the season starts the rider pricing will increase or decrease based on their results.

We will be publishing takeaways from different data sections including each discipline and the women riders. These articles will include a breakdown of their specific section of the data. We received responses from 108 pro riders so 25% would be 27 riders.

Welcome to Pinkbike's State of the Sport Survey 2024
It’s a fair point about percentages although for some of the future articles where we are comparing across different individual discipline data and previous datasets the percentages can help.
In terms of total survey numbers we had 108 respondents this year, with I believe 25 finishing in the overall last year. With us contacting elites and juniors across three discipline there was a possible total of 60 top five riders.

Thanks, I will add some extra details and context to the future stage reports where it's needed. I believe the Canyon Sidi team launched an attack, and the other two teams decided not to follow creating big gaps through stages four and five. The team of Nino Schurter and Sebastian Fini did have a mechanical leading to their 6th-place finish.

Pinkbike's DH Fantasy League: Get Your Team On The Line for Round 1
I think there is still plenty of opportunity for tactical choices under our system. With the 1.5m team price cap for everyone and the dynamic pricing, you will need to change your team for every round and make picks that you think will do well for that specific race.
We have done modelling based on past season data and with the dynamic pricing, there can be some interesting results. One example of how it might work is if you picked a rider for $25000 who then went on to do very well in the opening rounds their price will go up significantly. This could make you have to choose whether you can afford a higher-cost rider in your team.
After our testing, we found there are always some hidden picks that people will need to do some research and follow results closely to get a good return on the rider cost.
