these guys that are nearly landing, and honestly even attempting 360s and flips shouldn't be put in the same fail video as the dudes that are complete yard sales off poorly executed jumps and poor corning skills.
Concur! I could not agree more! Most of us will never attempt a 360 or back flip. Those guys are mad-dogs for attempting it, not failures.
It's still fun to watch all the dead sailors off the smallest jumps though haha
Reminds me of failarmy vids when they put in clips of gymnastics/ pro bmx riders and skaters bailing next to jimmie-bob yelling hold my beer then faceplanting into the chicken coop. It's not a fail if you're 1 step closer to doing something amazing.
I was just thinking the same thing. When your trying something complex your going to crash until you get it. But, I always laugh my ass off when someone who has absolutely no skill tries just cornering or something and ends up eating shit.
For sure, you can see the rider look at the pole (I think it's a monopod for a camera) and move rider left subconsciously, then he gets crossed up off the drop and goes straight into the tree.
To ALL you new riders especially...you know that watching bike crashes will mess with your mind when it comes to you making that decision on the spot "I'm going for it" instead your mind will process all the bad outcomes. Just a thought.
I was gonna' say carbon cracking, as I've heard carbon frames break and it literally sounds like a .22 being fired, but that was a little too quiet and not "cracky" enough. So I have no idea, hopefully helmet or visor like you mentioned @savagelake
how to get some of these MAIN PAGE photo's? been seeing these the past couple months and some of them are pretty burly/cool. would like to copy some for my photo album. where to find all the Friday fails main pic's?
They found my back to back 360 attempts from my early noob days. I wonder how many of these fail videos I have made but haven’t known (Got to many epics crashes on vid)
I feel weird saying this but that was a rad crash. His bike was ready to go instantly, he shot back up. If only he'd been facing his bike and ridden off after jumping back on. Just awesome.
Agreed. His form was textbook. I think he was just unlucky that a bit of the grass or something beside the trail gave way. Something shoots off to the right as if he's dislodged it. He looks to be right on the limit of traction.
Fairly benign crash, get up sort of smirking or smiling, quickly glance at hand....uhhhh wait a sec, f*ck.
